The battle over Hoopili goes on.  Hoopili produces 80% of Oahuʻs fresh produce.  Horton proposes turning Hoopili into a subdivision.  Hoopili, with its unique climate, is uniquely suited for growing melons, squash and other fresh vegetables.  It cannot be duplicated elsewhere.

It is time to draw a line in the sand a stop the constant nibbling away at prime ag lands.  Actually, Hoopili is not a nibble.  It is a chunk that Oahu could choke on.
