The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a milestone document in the history of human rights.
December 10 was International Human Rights Day
Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world, the Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948 (General Assembly resolution 217 A) as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations. It sets out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected and it has been translated into over 500 languages.
It is to the world, what the Bill of Rights is to the United States of America. Like our Bill of Rights, the UDHR sets guidelines for all human rights and is the basis for international law. In this time of chaos, the Declaration provides a guideline for how all humanity must treat each other.
Retirement is about being free to do what you want when you want. It should happen as early in life as possible, and you can do it in a relatively short time. All you need is a business that provides you a good income with minimal work on your part.
When choosing the kind of business you want to create, look for a business model that can produce income far into the future based on work you do today. I chose to work with internet marketing because I can work from anywhere and can control when I work. I have no employees and no inventory and start-up and operating costs are low.
I watch many of my friends lose their purpose when they retire. Their job gave them purpose and identity. Retirement sets them free, but they don’t know what to do with that newfound freedom.
Live your life with purpose.
I had lost my purpose. I had many gigs in the first five years after I retired, but none were satisfying.
Finally, I sat down with pencil and paper, old fashioned I know but I think better that way. I wrote down what I liked to do and what I hated. I decided my niche is helping people live more resiliently. I started building websites and finding companies that pay me commissions to sell their emergency preparedness products. Then I started developing my own products. I learned what to do by trial and error and finally found a couple of mentors who helped avoid mistakes while moving forward.
We are stronger together.
I will send you a series of notes to help you get started in your new life. We will be your wingman. We cover your back and provide our support. We will help you find your purpose, identify your values and be your navigator on your river of life. You are the Captain. We simply help you stay on course. Manage your career as a business and not just a job. Stay with a job as long as you are learning and growing. Most important your values and you bosses values must be in alignment. When you are no longer in alignment, it is best for both you and your boss for you to either realign with your work or find new work based on your career plan. We recommend you create an independent income that will set you free from having to depend on a job. Then you can fulfill you purpose not your boss’s. I’m not going to try to tell you what to do. I’ll tell you what has worked for me and how you can apply what works in your business. The niche you choose and the companies you choose to work with are up to you. Hopefully, by working together we will help each other avoid mistakes and find ways we can benefit each other.
Do Not Sell stuff just to make money! If you deceive your followers or recommend junk products you will quickly loose the respect of your followers and your business will crash. I have tested the products I recommend. I am affiliated with most of them meaning I get a commission when you buy the product. Do your own research and make your own choices. By working together, we can help each other make good decisions and avoid scams. Share your experiences with us, but please no SPAM. Put your reviews on your website and share your site with us.

A 95 year old 442sd WWII veteran and his wife want to live together in the care home of their choice. When Noburo needed a higher level of care and was sent to a 3-bed home. Per state law, a 3-bed home must reserve 2 of its beds for Medicaid residents and only 1 bed can be private-pay. There is no shortage of Medicaid beds – in fact, the 3rd bed in Noboru’s care home is empty! All Noboru wants is to have his wife with him at this stage of his long life.
HB600 will resolve this injustice. HB600 is has passed both the House and the Senate and is currently in Conference Committee. Senator Takuda is blocking action on HB600. It is going to take strong public pressure to make her realize her support of the Large Care Home Lobby is wrong. Large Care Homes want private pay patients because they can charge them 3-4 times what they get paid by medicare. That is where the opposition is coming from.

Globalization and technology have changed the world.
The only thing we can be sure of is to change will only accelerate. Everything I read emphasizes the sharp divide between the outlook for unskilled labor versus the future for creative people.
Routine labor will be replaced by robots and algorithms. We can expect 25% of our white-collar jobs will be replaced by machines in the next 10 years. In isolated locations where jobs are scarce, only people who can develop a work-from-anywhere Internet business will have a secure financial future.
Creative people will always be in demand.
It is important to plan for the future. When I talk about planning for the future, I’m not just talking about investing in a 401(k). We have to plan for the big changes brought on by technology, globalization and the changing environment.
Travel – A dream to live by
When I was young I decided I wanted to leave this earth a little better than I found it. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful, but that doesn’t keep me from trying. I think I may have succeeded in making my little corner of the earth a bit better for those around me.
I was fortunate. I chose to become a forester and work in conservation. For the most part, I enjoyed my job. However, I was never one to take orders well. When my values and those of my employer were in alignment, I would work to achieve my employers goals. I didn’t like being told what to do and how to do it. I wanted to use my initiative to carry out the goals set by my employer. I always considered myself more as a consultant than an employee.
I want to control of my time and have the money I need to do what I want, when I want.
A business of my own is the best way to develop the financial resilience that will allow me to achieve my dreams.
The internet gives us the ability to share our message with the world. We can work when we want from wherever we want and we have the potential to make an unlimited income. What business model could be better?
For most of us, a job is for survival until our business can replace the income our job provides. When we create a business income that replaces what we make on our job, a world of opportunity opens up.
I am working to create a dependable income of at least $5000 per month within the next five years. Do you need to increase your income? Lets work together. I’ll help you create your business.[thrive_link color=’red’ link=’http://bill808.biz/learn-make-money-online’ target=’_blank’ size=’small’ align=”]Join our team[/thrive_link].
Let’s work together to live our dreams.
Alzheimer’s disease is an oncoming epidemic as boomer’s age.
The Alzheimer disease epidemic will intensify as boomer’s age.
Early signs alzheimer disease include failure to remember recently learned information, confusion and difficulty solving problems. Medical care for Alzheimer’s patients is expected to exceed a trillion dollars annually within the next 20 years.
Dr Rudolph Tanzi, a leader in Alzheimer’s research, has developed a revolutionary new tool to study the disease. He and his team developed a method to grow brain cells in a dish where they can watch the development of plaques and tangles that are the cause of Alzheimer’s disease. The technique provides a way to test the effect of thousands of potential treatments quickly and cheaply.
While it will be years before effective treatments to slow or even stop the progression of Alzheimer’s disease can be developed brain cells in a dish is a major research break through.
In the mean time, we know that life style has a major impact on the progression of the disease. Keep your brain young by keeping it active. Learn new things. Study a language or learn a musical instrument. Even learn to program a computer. Anything that exercises the little grey cells will help. So will a low-fat diet. Just as a low-fat diet keeps plaque from building up in your arteries, it keeps the sticky stuff from building up in your brain. We know the brain cleans itsself during deep REM sleep. To keep your brain healthy, get plenty of active exercise, eat a low fat diet, get plenty of sleep and continued active learning.
We know that our genes play an important role in whether we develop Alzheimer’s. We also know that 80% of degenerative diseases are caused by our environment. A National Geographic study of communities around the world where an unusual number of people lived a healthy active life into their hundreds had several traits in common. A low-fat diet, an active life style, strong family ties and a life lived with purpose can give us at least 10 extra years of quality life.
